as its capital.

and sadhus. Uttarakhand is religious devotion of many Hindus and saints to conquer
salvation. People of Uttarakhand are always identified for their generous heart. Uttarakhand is divided into two regions
Garhwal and Kumaon and the people belong to these regions known as Garhwali and
Kumauni.
Uttarakhand has its long and rich culture that has been coming from ages. Bajuband, Chounphula, Jhumelo and Chhopati is the few folk songs of the region. Mangal song is very popular folk songs of the Uttarakhand which is performed during the marriage ceremony and Jagar is the song of religious ceremony.
