Chill This Summer With Kempty Falls

If your really want to chill this summer, then Kempty Falls is waiting for you guys.

Kempty Falls is one of the most admirable water falls, situated on the Chakrata Road which falls at the distance of just 15 km from Mussoorie, which is also a beautiful hill station of Indian state, Uttarakhand, India. Kempty Falls is occupying the height of about 1364 Meter from the sea level. It is a beautiful waterfall covered with eye pleasing high mountains. It falls from a height of 40 ft from a hill. Sweet sound of waterfall, greenery surrounding makes it perfect place for picnic, and outing.

Kempty Falls was founded by a British officer John Mekinan in 1835. The name of waterfall came from word 'camp-tea', as the British, during British rule in India, would organize their tea parties here. The place hosts about 10 lakh tourists every year as per government calculation.

How to getting there.
It is just 15 km from Mussorie and 45 km from Dehradun. One can get bus from Mussorie, and Dehradun or can hire private taxi which are easily available here.

Jolly grant Airport is the nearest airport, situated in Dehradun, it is further connected with major cities in India. Dehradun railway station is the nearest railway station which is connected with Delhi and such other major cities with in India.

June to October is the best time to visit the place. It is advised not to visit during rainy season as you may have to face heavy rain and landslides.

If you are fond of mountains, hills, waterfalls and curvy roads, Uttarakhand welcomes you warmly. Uttarakhand is situated in northern part of the India that was founded on 9 November 2000. It consists of 13 districts and serves Dehradun as its capital.

Uttarakhand is always known for its eye appealing beauty and religious places as it always been the land of many saints and sadhus. Uttarakhand is religious devotion of many Hindus and saints to conquer salvation. People of Uttarakhand are always identified for their generous heart.  Uttarakhand is divided into two regions Garhwal and Kumaon and the people belong to these regions known as Garhwali and Kumauni.

Uttarakhand has its long and rich culture that has been coming from ages. Bajuband, Chounphula, Jhumelo and Chhopati is the few folk songs of the region. Mangal song is very popular folk songs of the Uttarakhand which is performed during the marriage ceremony and Jagar is the song of religious ceremony.
